Botanist / Islay Dry Gin 46.0% Vol.
Produktart: Gin
Hersteller: The Bruichladdich Distillery
Anschrift: Isle of Islay, Argyll PA49 7UN, Scotland
Land: Scotland
The Bruichladdich Distillery is known for its first-class whiskeys. The botanist has a very unique style and an incomparable characteristic, which is probably primarily due to the fact that the botanicals come exclusively from the island of Islay. There are 22 in total. In addition to more well-known ingredients such as juniper, chamomile, lemon balm, thyme, elderflowers and birch leaves, unusual botanicals such as the leaves of swamp myrtle and the flowers of field thistle, tansy, white clover and meadowsweet are also used. In addition, other botanicals are imported, for example cinnamon and coriander, lemon peel and licorice roots, cassia bark and iris roots. Distillation takes place on the unique and fabulous “Ugly Betty”, a very special low-pressure Lomond copper still. This gin is velvety smooth and glides beautifully over the palate.
