Rhum JM, one of the few distilleries in the world that distills Rhum Agricole, is located in the evergreen Macouba on Martinique. According to the strict regulations of the “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée”. Last year we were able to pay a personal visit to the small, traditional business. Did we take the opportunity to select two exclusive single barrels for the German market? Of course!

Our “Sélection Exclusive” is equipped for demanding palates – like that of Serge Valentin, the head behind whiskyfun.com. The gourmet recently honored the two individual barrels with impressive 88 and 89 points.

“[…] those bananas, that white chocolate, those varnishy touches, those oranges and that hint of salty liquorice mixed with vine peaches are working very well,” he says, for example, about the Rhum Vieux Agricole 2014/2023 #210098, the eight Rested for years in a fresh oak barrel.
