Exotic & extremely rare: La Baronesa Rum brings the Galápagos Islands into your glass La Baronesa is a highly limited premium rum from the Galápagos Islands. The ten-year-aged single cask was distilled twice in a pot still from fresh sugarcane juice and matured entirely on site. Responsible for this is Johan Romero, Master Distiller at Romero & Sons and one of the most influential figures in the Ecuadorian rum scene. The rum was created in 2014 during the first production runs of a newly established distillery on Santa Cruz, the second-largest island of the archipelago. Today, only eight casks remain, reserved exclusively for the European market. Each release is bottled as a single cask at cask strength — uncompromising, authentic, and with true collector’s appeal. The name La Baronesa pays tribute to the legendary Baroness Eloise von Wagner Bosquet, whose eccentric life and mysterious disappearance in the 1930s became part of Galápagos mythology.
