This rum from the French island of Martinique is made from the sap of sugar cane plants. The rum matures for three years in ex-bourbon barrels before maturing in fresh American white oak barrels. This Rhum Agricole is bottled at 43% alcohol strength. This great Caribbean rum scores with nuances of nuts, chocolate and spices. There is also a hint of nougat accompanied by cloves and cinnamon. Toffee adds a soft sweetness to the drinking experience and leaves you with a smooth, velvety finish.
