Rum Nation created the Guatemala XO to celebrate their company's 20th anniversary. Only the best barrels of rum from Guatemala were selected. The noble distillate was made from sugar cane molasses in a column still and matured for at least four years in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak. The rum achieved its full-bodied aroma through a sixteen-month finish in Oloroso and PX sherry casks in slightly cooler Italy.
