The fruity and floral character of this rich and medium-bodied Speyside malt has been refined through a year of aging in Pedro Ximenez casks to achieve the golden perfection in a single malt of this age, the perfect balance between all its qualities. We wanted to achieve a classic and relaxed compromise between vinous characteristics and natural maltiness, between sweet fruits and tannins, while always maintaining the distillery's style. On the nose it is only slightly nutty and above all honeyed, with notes of raisins and fruits (peaches, apricots, green apples) ... but still very fresh and lively. On the palate we find the same delightful interplay between creamy sherry, peppery nuances, a wonderful juicy softness and tight dry tannins. Malty firmness and vinous character, for a sophisticated interplay between these two elements.
