Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail are one of the most renowned independent bottlers and were for a long time one of the official bottlers of the Macallan single malt. Even today they are one of the most reliable and comprehensive sources of vintage Macallan outside the distillery.

The G&M Speymalt series is a long-standing line of vintage Macallan bottlings dating back to 1938. This edition of Speymalt was distilled in 1971 and matured in sherry casks for around 38 years before being bottled in 2009.
