One place, one farm, one whiskey: Waterford captures the taste quintessence of various Irish terroirs with unique single-farm whiskeys. The fact that soil composition, sunlight or location lead to clear differences - in the barley itself and thus the aroma of single malts - is no longer just the belief of Waterford fans and CEO Mark Reynier. A scientific, independently verified study recently demonstrated the influence of terroir. It is publicly accessible via the website of the renowned trade magazine Foods. Now Brand Innovator of the Year 2021 Waterford gives individual markets the exciting opportunity to explore their “own” terroir and follow its development over a number of years. Five Single Farm Origins were allocated in Europe on an exclusive basis - to Germany: Tinnashrule: Edition 1.1. The terroir whiskey has its origins in the rain shadow of the Blackstairs Mountains, north of Enniscorthy. Here the hilly lowland barley fields of John Crowley Farms lie in the lee of ash and larch forests and benefit from the well-drained and clayey loam of the highly productive Clonroche series. Grown, harvested, stored and distilled separately, this barley creates a single malt with complex notes of honey to tangy fruit and dark chocolate to wasabi spice. Like all single-farm bottlings, Waterford makes its Tinnashrule: Edition 1.1 completely transparent via the TÉIREOIR code on the back label and invites you into the world of Germany Exclusive with text, images and sound 3 years, 8 months, 14 days Dest. week 3/2017 Completed 03/2021 Barrel Type: 15% Premium French Oak Barrels (Margaux Red Wine), 17% Vin Doux Naturel Barrels (Sherry/Sauternes), 22% New American Oak Barrels, 46% First Fill American Oak Barrels 50% vol. 0.7 liters Not colored Not chill filtered
