Islay's windswept coast is the starting point for a unique twin set of very limited single cask whiskeys. Both single malts of the Bunnahabhain 1992 PX Quarter Cask Twin Set were distilled on February 10, 1992, have since matured in comparable casks - and, like human twins, developed into two bottlings with their own unique character. The whiskey twins initially matured in whiskey refill barrels, the contents of which were combined in a PX Hogshead in 2004. Finally, in October 2018, the whiskey went into two PX Quarter Casks for its finish. The two twin barrels were filled exclusively for the German market into 65 and 67 high-quality, embossed bottles - after almost 30 years of maturity at an enjoyable barrel strength of 42% vol. In natural rose gold, the Twins will delight Bunnahabhain lovers with the distillery's signature nutty notes and the sweet, syrupy influence of PX Sherrys Casks. When comparing, connoisseurs and connoisseurs will also be surprised by the individual aromas of the whiskey twins, which are bursting with figs and chocolate, roasted walnuts and dark berries, vanilla and wood spice.
