Experience spring in a glass with the new Lochlea Sowing Edition Third Crop. This bottling from Lochlea's Seasonal Releases series celebrates spring and its fragrant profile hints at the coming summer.

Look forward to an abundance of sweet, creamy vanilla notes - typical of the maturation in classic bourbon barrels, which give the Sowing Edition its characteristic taste. Also dominant are elegant rose scents, intense apple blossoms, Italian wedding almonds, as well as fragrant hay and fresh grass.

The first fill bourbon barrels used were stored in the warehouse for 9 months longer, which means that the third crop has undergone a much more intensive barrel maturation than the second crop. It owes its golden yellow color to the maturation in these barrels, as this first-class whisky does not contain any artificial color additives. The whisky was bottled with a pleasant alcohol content of 46% vol., which gives it a gentle and sparkling note.

The seasonal releases appear quarterly and show what happens on the farm of the Lowland family distillery as the seasons change. Lochlea only uses home-grown barley, and distillation and maturation also take place on site. This Sowing Edition is dedicated to sowing and cultivating the fields. With this bottling, the series enters its third round and shows an exciting development compared to the Sowing Edition Second Crop from spring 2023.

Let yourself be seduced by the appealing feel and appearance of the bottle. According to John Campbell, the master distiller of Lochlea, the grooves on the glass symbolize the ruts left by a tractor in the damp earth of the farm distillery.

Enjoy this first-class whisky in convivial company with good friends, because as we all know, joy shared is joy doubled.
